Take a Photo Tour of Lytham Road

Hello! I'm delighted you've decided to join this digital tour of the renovations at Lytham Rd.

Our tour begins in the Fellowship Hall, where the pews are being stored, prepared to go back to the sanctuary. You'll also see a new storage area, and a door from the new Kids' Church spaces into the Fellowship Hall. Eventually, this room will also get new carpet and fresh paint on the walls and ceiling:

Here you see both the framing for the new storage space, and the door frame that leads to kids' classrooms.

Next we will move into the Fireside Lounge, just outside of the Fellowship Hall. This room is getting bigger and more open to the lobby (with closeable partitions when privacy is needed.) It is getting a new, working fireplace, bookshelves, a kitchenette and seating areas:

Next we will walk out into the church lobby. You'll notice a higher ceiling, new windows and natural light and a new entryway.

Let's move into Founder's next. We have slightly re-branded this space as "Founder's Chapel." It will get refreshed finishes that will allow it to be a more purposeful sacred space, used for prayer gatherings, church meetings, Bible studies, worship services, and smaller weddings/funerals.

We'll look at kids' spaces next. On the main floor, what used to be offices are now classrooms for nursery, preschool, Kids' Church and adult meetings. In the basement, the preschool spaces are getting refreshed and waterproofed. We have also been able to expand the amount of classroom space for the preschool.

From the preschool, we will move into "The Commons." This is the room we have historically called, "Room 100." We have re-branded it as "The Commons" to reflect our hope that this will be a well used community space for our teens, adult and community groups.

Alright, it's time to head back upstairs to the sanctuary. You'll notice that the basics of the room are unchanged - the ceiling, windows, walls, etc. Big changes are to the chancel, which is now larger, sturdier and more accessible. There is also a new tech booth, and some new beams that will support (and aesthetically hide) new lighting equipment for the space.

The last stop on our tour is one most people don't see, but everyone feels - a peak at some of the new HVAC equipment that has been installed (which is more efficient, and also now covers the entire building).

Thanks for joining me for a photo tour - I can't wait for you to get to see it all in person!

In Christ,

Pastor Aaron
